Scleroderma, or systemic sclerosis, is a chronic connective tissue disease generally classified as one of the autoimmune rheumatic diseases.
The PURPOSE of the Southeast Florida Chapter is to:
- HELP patients make contact with each other through Chapters, Newsletters and Workshops;
- EDUCATE and INFORM the public about Scleroderma, its meaning and its consequences through a central base;
- ENCOURAGE more awareness within the medical profession;
- PROMOTE medical research toward finding a cause and cure;
- ACCEPT donations, bequests, memorials and grants from our generous supporters.
